Soccer Season

Colton (in white) began his first season of high school soccer this week. He made the JV team and played the majority of the game...coming close to scoring a goal! He did really well and is much more aggressive than last year. It's going to be an interesting season. Woodland won their first game (Tuesday) but lost their second (Wednesday). My big surprise came when, after getting in my 10 mile long run before his game, I got out of the car and was walking toward the soccer fields when someone called my name. I turned around and it was Patrick. He'd left work early and driven all the way from Alpharetta (at least 90 minutes) because he didn't want to miss Colton's first game. He's so great! After the game we went out for dinner with Colton's friend, Ansley, whom we were giving a ride home. It was a great kick-off (intentional pun there!) for the soccer season.

You'd never guess from this pic that P was still dressed up from work. The waitress spilled tea and water on him so he had to remove some layers in order to dry off!
